Units 1-3

Unit 1:
In this unit we learned how to change a sentence from active to passive voice, it is pretty easy. First you have to find the object of the verb, once you've found it you need to make that object the subject of your new sentence. Next you have to decide in which tense will be verb be. At the end you have to decide whether to include the agent in your new sentence or not.

Example:
Active-> Samantha bought the candies.
Passive->The candies were bought by Samantha.

Unit 2:
In the second unit we learned the difference between the verb tenses of: present perfect, past simple, present perfect simple, and present perfect continuous.

Present Perfect-> An action that is made in the present. You have to combine the present tence of "have" with a verb in past participle. Example: He has taken.

Past Simple-> An action that was made during the past. Example: He swam for two hours.

Present Perfect Simple-> An action that is still happening or that stopped recently, it causes and effect in the present. Example: My mom has baked a cake.

Present Perfect Continuous-> An action that is still going on and it makes an emphasis on the duration of this action. Example: I have been studying all day long.
